Bouncing Around the Motor City

ABOUT

Bouncing Around The Motor City is Detroit’s One Stop Shop for All Party & Event Rental needs in the City of Detroit and surrounding areas. We offer an array of products from inflatables to customized favors. The majority of our events are those of neighborhood organizations, life milestone events and corporate opportunities in the City of Detroit. Out of all our product offerings we are most proud of our superior customer service!

The BUILD class was a memorable and life changing experience in that I accomplished the milestone knowledge and expertise of establishing, operating and successfully owning my own business.
BUILD is supportive in many ways that support my business with networking, funding, educational and resourceful opportunities that truly exhibit the interest they have in my success.

In June 2019, I graduated ProsperUS Detroit and pitched among classmates and won third place prize. On September 17, 2019, I graduated TechTown Retail Boot Camp and pitched winning the $5,000 RBC Kickstart award from TechTown, have been accepted into the Road to Readiness Program and also pitch this weekend at the 1st Annual 2019 Microloan Conference!

My long term vision is to have a successful business that attains the award of being Detroit’s #1 Choice for Party & Event Rental needs and world class customer service.

To the BUILD Institute Community,

On behalf of the BUILD Institute Board of Directors, we want to share that the Board has made the decision to pause operations at the end of 2025.

We recognize that we are living in a time of great uncertainty for small business support organizations across Michigan. This moment offers us an opportunity to reassess how BUILD delivers on its mission, retool our programming, and evaluate new partnership opportunities and our overall business model to ensure long-term sustainability and impact.

In the coming months, we will continue all scheduled programming through December to ensure that all commitments to entrepreneurs and partners are honored. During this time, we will also explore new ways to align our work with the evolving needs of our community, including our network of over 3,000 alums.

Please join us in showing appreciation for the team members and facilitators who have served Detroit’s entrepreneurs and supported BUILD’s mission since our founding in 2012.

If you have any questions about this decision or what it means in the near term, please email us at [email protected].

Thank you for your continued support and for being part of BUILD’s legacy of inclusive entrepreneurship.

With gratitude,
The BUILD Institute Board of Directors
